He already had a few door dings on his SS, so I can understand the frustration. Also rare CT brotruck. And Oppo sticker.

The best kind.

Could that truck even give it a door ding? Maybe break a window or something, but I don't even know if the bottom of the doors would hit the top of the belt line (which is saying a lot for a Camaro)...

I say asshat. He could've parked in the spot next to the one he was in, instead of just putting his wheels over the line into it...

No to the asshat. You don't know the pain, man. It hurts yourself just as much as your car.

Yeah, plus the nice thing about trucks and other tall vehicles is that they have really short doors. Short doors don't open as far.
I'm usually worried about parking next to like...chevy Cavalier 2 doors.

the space next to him is not a parking space. what he did was acceptable.

Ahh, ok, I couldn't tell from the picture.
Then I retract my statement! Not an asshat!

I understand the pain, I just thought there was a totally open spot next to him, but evidently the area across the line was not a spot, just an unreserved area. I understand why he did that now and retract my judgement!

It actually was a parking space, but this was on the side of the building, so these aren't prime spots.

I agree. I tried this same technique yesterday, but asshats were thinking outside the box:

Those bastards.

i stand corrected but still not an asshat
![]() 10/17/2013 at 14:48 |

Then why is it even a question? No matter how he parks there he'll be taking up one spot right?

CT as in Connecticut? As I recall, there are a depressing amount of bro trucks around.
EDIT: "... IS A DEPRESSING AMOUNT" GOD PUBLIC EDUCATION FAILED ME.

Oh yeah, I'm talking about the one and only nutmeg state here.
The three states I've spent most of my time living in are CT, IL, and FL. Out of those three, CT is the one I've noticed to have the fewest brotrucks.
Also, after living in FL, my idea of "lifted" will never be the same.

the words "Rare, CT, and brotruck" should almost never be found in the same sentence. Sadly, Brotrucks are everywhere in CT.

CT born and raised. I've always spent 99% of my time here in the valley and shoreline, so I guess it depends where in CT you are.

Oh, well that is a fair and accurate measurement then. What a random collection of states you have.
I spent the first 18 years of consciousness in the woods of CT, and hoo boy is there a surprising amount of rednecks hiding out there. Nothing on Florida, of course, but my high school parking lot had more than a few idiotically lifted Jeeps and pickups.

If you are getting door dings you are parking too close. You cannot expect to park that close to the building and take up 2 spots and NOT be an asshat. Park further away and noone will care.

I've seen this more than I care to. I park on the end and overlap the line as often as I can and some asshat will park next to me, when it's not even a spot, happened this week.

By woods, do you mean the northwest corner of the state? Granted, the whole state is basically a forest, but around the valley and shoreline, it seems like brotrucks are a rarity.

Door dings are better than key scratches, which he will get if he continues to park like that.

I grew up in New London County. 15 miles off the shoreline and you might as well be West Virginia.

That makes sense. I haven't seen too much of the southeast region, but I can see how it might be sorta hick-ish.

I'll let you in on a little secret.
There was a Nissan Maxima just off screen also parked like that.

To people like that I like to take the valve cores out of two tires. They deserve to not be able to move their car until they get a ticket. It isn't hurting anything and it causes a major inconvenience to them which hopefully makes them think about their actions. This is especially true when it is a car that hasn't been washed in 4 years and has dings all over it. I have used crayons to draw boxes on windows before to prove a point. Don't know how well they were received but it still served its purpose for me.
When I had beaters I would purposely park close to the double parked bimmers and benzs and on a few occasions I had the pleasure of watching the owners displeasure of finding out that he really had no way of getting into his fancy car and it was by his own design.
